The “City of Roses” Kazanlak is also famous for its UNESCO world heritage site, the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak.” Mayoress Mara Stojanova and Dr Radka Arnold who is honorary citizen of Kazanlak and head of the local Kneipp association welcomed the tour members and gave a short presentation of the city together with a lovely gift package.
In return, Ingrid Pongratz and her group handed over a comprehensive information package about their home region Landshut and the Land Bavaria. The German projects “Kneipp in der Kita” (Kneipp in child daycare) and “Kneipp in der Schule” (Kneipp in elementary school) aroused great interest among the members of the city council. Both sides agreed on a follow-up meeting in Bad Wörishofen to discuss possible next steps. The participants rounded off their visit by a refreshing round of water treading and movement exercises under the guidance of Evelin Hensel, Vice Chairperson of the Kneipp regional association Bavaria.
