Kneipp connects

The Vice President of the Kneipp Association and the Advisory Council Chairwoman of Kneipp WORLDWIDE visited the South Tyrolean Kneipp Association.

Bad Wörishofen, April 19, 2017 - "If you do not spend some time on your health each day, you will eventually have to spend a lot of time on your illnesses". This motto from Sebastian Kneipp was the base of the exchange of information between Mayor Ulli Gamper and Ms Ingeborg Pongratz, vice-president of the German Kneipp Association, who is also the country chairwoman of the Kneipp Federation of the Bavarian State Association and advisory board member of Kneipp WORLDWIDE. She was accompanied by her husband, by Kornelia Hölzl Gamper, President of the South Tyrolean Kneipp Association, and two Kneipp health coaches Edith Marchegger and Annemarie Santer Nock.

Ingeborg Pongratz emphasized the importance of taking care of your health individually today, when the means of public medical services are becoming increasingly scarce and the Kneipp naturopathic treatment is becoming increasingly important. She advised that the German UNESCO Commission included Kneipp as traditional knowledge in the nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage.

To be convinced of the effectiveness of the cold water, the newly designed Kneipp facility was visited at Blumenthalerhof. Despite stormy and cold weather, Mayor Ulli Gamper and Blumenthaler Luis Haller tried the arm bath under the professional guidance of experts. In the Kneipp language, this very popular water treatment is called the Kneipp Cappuccino, since it stimulates all senses and refreshes.

While eating the sweet treats of the hostess Maria, they talked shop and Ingeborg Pongratz told very interesting anecdotes from her many years of international work and the latest trends in the Kneipp world.

Then they all went to Prissian, where they were greeted by Thomas Knoll, President of the Tourism Association of Tisens-Prissian and President of the Merano Marketing Company. Together with the former president of the South Tyrolean Kneipp Association, Helene Roschatt, and Veronika Winkler, employee of the tourism association and Kneipp health trainer, they visited the nicely designed Kneipp facility in Prissian.

During a cosy get-together, all attendees emphasized that the naturopathic Kneipp therapy, as part of Traditional European Medicine, will gain more and more importance.
